If you would like to enroll it would be helpful if you had the following information available when you visit: DD214, employment data, any private health insurance coverage and financial information from previous year. In addition, information relating to your dependants and spouse such as social security number, date of birth and date of marriage. 

Patient Business Office is a multifunctional organization where administrative functions for patients have been consolidated into one area to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Patient Business Office is located in Building 126A OP 106 and the hours of operation are from 8:00am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday with the exception of the emergency room, which is operational 24 hours a day. 

The scope of services provided under the Patient Business Office operation are as follows: 

Agent Cashier : Collection and disbursement of funds.

Medication Copayment Brochure

Fee Basis  

Provides services for medical treatment and aids for our patients. 

Beneficiary Travel 

Coordinate transportation for patients and beneficiaries. 

Patient Funds 

Maintain records of deposits and withdraws of patients.

Correspondence and Release of information

Responsible for authorization for releasing patient information such as medical records.

DOD and Tricare

Coordination of active military personnel visiting the medical center for medical treatment along with Tricare patients.

Patient Registration

Interviews and completes application for medical care of patients requiring treatment and submits forms to process billing cases which include identifying insurance coverage. Makes initial determination of veteran's legal entitlements and enrolls patient into the VA Healthcare System.

Billing

Prepares bills for appropriate per diem rates, captures insurance information and reviews health plans and obtain authorization for treatment.

Accounts Receivable

Reviews, analyzes and responds to telephone, written or personal inquires from a variety of sources concerning debts for patient care . Negotiates payment plans, reconciles bills and prepares reports to meet IRS offset requirements.

Clothing Room

Responsible for receiving a wide range of personal property of hospitalized inpatients.

Family Assistance

Provide counseling when veterans pass away on burial arrangements and entitlements.
