SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Office of Research and Development aspires to create a research environment that fosters scientific discovery, and thus improve the health of veterans and their families. The services provided by the Research Department are based on identified patient needs, and sound scientific practices.
All research, including research involving VA patients, requires stringent feasibility, resource, capacity, safety, and scientific review. The Research and Development Committee has delegated responsibility for the integrity of research projects and must approve all projects at a properly convened meeting.

For information on how to submit a research proposal go to the Southern California Institute for Research and Education (SCIRE) website.
