VA Long Beach welcomes Veterans and the community to celebrate our Nations Independence.

LONG BEACH, Calif. –VA Long Beach Healthcare System in partnership with the Veterans Independence Day Celebration (VIDC) team, welcomes our Veterans, their families and our community to celebrate the birth of the United States of America as a free nation.  The Fourth annual event will take place on July 4, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the campus of the VA Long Beach Medical Center.

Festivities will include live music, unique antique and military vehicles, games for the entire family and performances throughout the event.  A barbeque lunch will be hosted at no cost to attendees.  In addition to the festivities outside the facility, Volunteers will serve inpatient Veterans with a barbeque meal (where appropriate) in appreciation for the freedoms our Veterans guarantee.

Event is at no cost, public and press are welcome
