241st Marine Corps Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony

November 4, 2016

Print Version (PDF)

LONG BEACH, Calif. – VA Long Beach Healthcare System will celebrate 241 years of Marine Corps tradition on November 10, 2016, including a cake cutting ceremony performed by the eldest and youngest Marine present.

Since 1775, November 10 has been a day to celebrate the Marine Corps’ birthday, to honor those Marines who are not physically among us, and to reflect about the future of the Corps.

The event is sponsored by VA Long Beach employees, also Marine Corp Veterans, who strive to carry on the Marine Corps rich tradition, as well as uphold their commitment to care for those who they serve.

This year’s Honor Guest Speaker is Marine Corps Veteran and Actor Saginaw Grant.

For more information, or to schedule an interview, please contact Rich Beam at 562-233-2122.
